Hey, is there any way that we could somehow make it so that you can search the boards for posts from a specific person? In people's user profiles, it'll say where the person last posted, but I thought it might be good if you could maybe have some kind of access to all the topics where that person's posted? Might be a good way of getting to know someone by seeing where they contribute, what they write, etc. You're there for years if you wanna go through every board just looking for posts from a particular person. I may have time on my hands, but not that much... *smile*

yes. it is a great idea. can j and other cl do some addit on the profile or some where where we can view the particular person post?
That sounds like a good idea. I'd been thinking about that too, and yeah, it would help in getting to know fellow Zoners by giving you an idea of there interests and concerns by the discussions they post to. I'm wondering if it could be like in each of our profiles, where there would be a list of topics that person posted to? At least I would think it would have to work like that. Just an idea. *smiles*

Good idea. You know, that's a good life saver for somebody who is not an all day internet person.
I think it's a good idea, but I think that there might be problems with regard to how practically possible it would be. See every time a member posts to a topic, a new link would have to appear in their profile, linking that profile to the specific topic. That would mean that some users who post to numerous topics, and let's not forget that there are some people on here who have thousands of postings, would end up with enormous profile pages. And I'm not sure how much space that would take up on the server in the longrun, I'm sure some of the geeks ... oops I mean fellow zoners who are of greater technical ability than myself, could enlighten us.
Hi All. I think this is a great idea. As for SugarBaby's comment, I would agree, but I think, if this was implemented, in the member's profile, there would be a combo box, containing each of the topics. Thus, there wouldn't be thousands of links, but rather one combo box containing the topics, be it two or two thousand, and then a button that goes to the topic the surfer has selected in the combo box. Good idea Caitlin. And I'm in favor of this one. Makes it easier than scrolling your way through the boards just to find an old post of yours.
Exactly! lots of sites have this feature, I find.
